The end result of a Distribution Requirements
Planning system is to provide the user with unconstrained
production requirements for each manufacturing
site after the netting and aggregation process
is completed.
PSI Planner does that ... and more! It not only
allows the user to aggregate net requirements
to the manufacturing site, but allows you to set
up multiple work centers within a plant and compare
requirements against capacity, in time buckets.
This information is on screen and can be easily
exported to other systems or popular spreadsheets.
A rather unique feature of PSI Planner is the
ability for the user to define production or market
zones for each item-location. The system then
aggregates not only planned orders for an item-zone,
but current inventory, forecasts, open customer
orders, scheduled receipts and planned replenishment
orders as well. This is presented in the traditional
"PSI" format (i.e. Production, Sales
and Inventory).
